Arduino board for industrial applications dedicated to Arduino Portenta H7 boards. It can control devices and machines in production halls, and thanks to high computing power, it can be used, among others in the areas of artificial intelligence. Portenta Machine Control enables companies to introduce new business-as-a-service models by monitoring customer equipment usage for predictive maintenance and delivering valuable production data.
The module enables industry-standard soft-PLC control and is able to connect to a range of external sensors and actuators with isolated digital I/O, analog 4-20 mA I/O, 3 configurable temperature channels and a dedicated I2C connector. In addition to industry-specific protocols such as RS485, there are many network connectivity options including USB, Ethernet, and WiFi/Bluetooth® Low Energy. All inputs/outputs are protected by fuses and the built-in energy management has been designed to ensure maximum reliability in harsh environments. The housing used is compatible with the DIN rail, and the clamp connectors are used for quick connection of wires.
The board offers the ability to connect external HMI interfaces such as displays, touch panels, keyboards, joysticks and mice to enable reconfiguration of machines and direct manipulation of processes.
Portenta Machine Control can be programmed using the Arduino framework or other embedded development platforms.
