Mux Shield II is an I/O pin expander designed for Arduino platforms. Provides 48 connections for increasing the number of analog inputs, digital inputs and digital outputs. They have been divided into three 16-pin rows, and each of these rows can be independently set as analog inputs, digital inputs or outputs from the microcontroller software or via jumpers. Mux Shield uses digital Arduino pins 2, 4, 6, 7, analog input pins A0, A1, A2 and optional digital pins 8, 10, 11, 12. The expander is based on analog TI 74HC4067 multiplexers and TI 74HC595 shift registers. To support the module, the manufacturer has prepared a dedicated Arduino library with examples.
