Description

The MODIG MD61001 dual-channel strain gauge transducer enables load measurement using load cells and strain gauge bridges. The module features two independent measurement channels that convert signals from connected sensors into proportional analog signals. Each of the two outputs can be configured to operate in 0-10 V voltage mode or 0-20 mA and 4-20 mA current modes. The device is suitable for weighing systems, measurement stations, and industrial automation applications requiring weight or load monitoring.

Communication with a computer is provided through a USB-C interface supporting the CDC-ACM class, which emulates a virtual serial port. Simple text commands allow measurement results, including values converted into grams, to be read and the measurement range and operating mode of each output to be configured. The module supports taring and calibration using the ZERO buttons assigned to individual channels or commands sent via USB. The number of samples used to calculate measurement results can also be adjusted.

A 24 V DC power supply ensures proper operation of the measurement channels and analog outputs. The SENSOR1 and SENSOR2 connectors provide connections for strain gauge bridges, including bridge excitation, differential signal, and shield terminals. The OUTPUTS connector provides two independent analog signals, while LED indicators show the selected output modes. Detailed connector descriptions, communication commands, and calibration procedures are available in the MODIG MD61001 documentation.
