The DLight Unit module with the BH1750FVI-TR digital light intensity sensor enables precise lighting measurement in the range of 1 to 65,535 lux. Thanks to a 16-bit analog-to-digital converter, it provides accurate representation of lighting conditions as digital data. It communicates with a microcontroller via an I2C bus (address: 0x23), facilitating integration with microcontroller-based systems.
The sensor's high sensitivity and typical maximum sensitivity wavelength of 560 nm enable reliable detection of light from a variety of sources, including incandescent lamps, fluorescent lamps, halogen lamps, white LEDs, and sunlight. The module's small dimensions (32 x 24 x 8 mm) allow for installation in confined spaces, making it suitable for applications in building automation systems, smart factories, and environmental monitoring devices. Low current consumption (<143 µA at 5 V) facilitates use in battery-powered projects.
