Description
Prusament PETG Jet Black is intended for 3D printing parts that require high mechanical strength, good temperature resistance, and long-term durability. The filament is manufactured by Prusa Research in a tightly controlled production process that includes continuous diameter measurement, color consistency control, and mechanical property testing. Each spool features an individual QR code that provides access to real production parameters for a specific batch.
PETG material is characterized by low shrinkage and strong interlayer adhesion, which reduces the risk of warping even when printing larger objects without an enclosed chamber. The filament is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, including parts exposed to moisture. Compared to PLA, it offers higher mechanical strength and flexibility, at the cost of slightly reduced fine detail reproduction.
The spool is equipped with an NFC tag that enables automatic filament recognition in compatible Prusa 3D printers, simplifying material configuration and print management.
