Description
Prusament PETG Prusa Galaxy Black 1 kg (NFC) is intended for 3D printing parts requiring high mechanical strength, good temperature resistance and long-term durability during everyday use. The filament is manufactured by Prusa Research in a controlled production process involving continuous diameter monitoring, color consistency inspection and mechanical property testing. Each spool features an individual QR code that allows verification of the real production parameters of the given batch.
PETG material is characterized by low shrinkage and good interlayer adhesion, which reduces the risk of warping even when printing larger models without an enclosed chamber. The filament is suitable for manufacturing functional parts, holders, enclosures, brackets and components intended for both indoor and outdoor use. Compared to PLA, it offers higher mechanical resistance, better flexibility and improved thermal resistance. The Galaxy Black version contains fine glitter particles that give printed models a dark, slightly metallic surface finish.
The spool is equipped with an NFC tag compliant with the OpenPrintTag standard, enabling automatic filament recognition in compatible Prusa 3D printers, which simplifies material setup and print profile management. The updated spool design also provides convenient filament end locking, safe drying at elevated temperatures and compatibility with multi-material printing systems.
