Description

Prusament PLA Galaxy Purple is designed for 3D printing decorative parts, visual models and components requiring an eye-catching surface finish with glitter particles. The filament is manufactured by Prusa Research under a controlled production process that includes continuous diameter monitoring, color consistency control and mechanical property testing. Each spool features an individual QR code allowing access to the actual production data of the specific batch.

PLA material is characterized by low shrinkage and good dimensional stability, which reduces the risk of warping and makes printing easier even on printers without an enclosed chamber. The Galaxy version contains particles that give prints a depth and shimmer effect. The filament is suitable for display models, aesthetic elements and prototypes with moderate mechanical requirements. Compared to PETG, PLA offers better fine detail reproduction, with lower temperature resistance.

The spool is equipped with an NFC tag enabling automatic filament recognition in compatible Prusa 3D printers, simplifying material setup and print management.
