The Artillery Sidewinder X3 is a 3D printer utilizing FFF/FDM printing technology. It features a large build volume of 240 x 240 x 260 mm. Equipped with numerous features to facilitate device operation, including a filament sensor, automatic bed leveling, power loss recovery, and a user-friendly touchscreen display. The mainboard is equipped with "silent" stepper motor drivers.
Automatic bed leveling system based on 49 points ensures precise bed alignment without consuming much time. The built-in sensor measures the distance from the bed at multiple points and, thanks to dynamic compensation, allows for easy device preparation. Meanwhile, the built-in filament sensor helps avoid failed prints due to filament depletion. The printer detects when the filament is running out and alerts the user.
A highly useful feature of the printer is the ability to resume printing after a power loss. This is particularly important for larger prints that take several hours. Power loss towards the end of a print often requires restarting the print job. The Sidewinder X3 allows you to resume interrupted prints, saving time and filament.
The design utilizes a dual Z-axis system, employing two trapezoidal screws with modified nuts. The Direct Drive Titan extruder is responsible for filament feeding, transporting the material directly to the heating block, yielding good results, especially with flexible filaments. These solutions ensure stable operation, translating into better print quality.
The printer is controlled by a mainboard based on a 32-bit microcontroller, ensuring efficient operation and high configuration flexibility for easy expansion. Paired with a set of silent stepper motor drivers, it provides user convenience and generates minimal noise. For printer operation, users have access to a convenient touchscreen display.
The printer's construction is made of metal components, and the electronic part is hidden under the printer base. The automatic nozzle cleaning system ensures reliability and allows printing at temperatures up to 300°C. Its modularity makes the overall appearance aesthetic, and the assembly of the printer is quick and easy. Filament is placed on a specially prepared mount, and replacement is simple and intuitive. The printer supports a wide range of filaments: ABS, PLA, PVA, HIPS, as well as Nylon, ASA, and PC. It is compatible with most popular software. Print files can be read from an SD card or a computer via USB cable.
