The device acts as a staircase automat. Pressing the button turns on the lighting. Next pressing - turns off. On after a certain time, the light bulbs are switched off automatically. The device therefore fulfills the functions of the on / off switch and the timer. An additional advantage is that you can connect any number of buttons to one control line.
