ELECTRONIC FUSE - PRINTED PLATE

As you know, traditional fuses are too slow to effectively protect modern devices. Their role has been taken over by electronic fuses, in which the voltage drop on the measuring resistor of a small value is usually checked. In the presented system, there is no such measurement resistor. The measurement was carried out in an unusual way. A control transistor was used for this. During normal operation, MOSFET is fully open and presents a small resistance. It is she who performs the role of a measuring resistor - a sensor with too much current.

The device is especially recommended as necessary equipment of laboratory power supplies, for powering tested devices

  • possibility of working with negative and positive voltages
  • very high speed of operation
  • executive element - field power transistor
  • operation signaling - optical and sound
  • smooth regulation of the operating threshold
  • manual release of the fuse after the protection trips
  • power supply -> 10 V (from protected power supply)
