Although ready-made car radios can be obtained at an attractive price in virtually any supermarket, making such a device by yourself can provide a lot of satisfaction. The progress made in the production of integrated circuits makes the implementation of even very complex systems boil down to the selection of a suitably selected microcontroller and 'enclosure' it with appropriate peripheral systems. And this is the case with the presented radio. Seemingly complicated construction boils down to the combination of several specialized integrated circuits with discrete components cooperating with them. A certain simplification is the resignation from the scope of AM (rarely used today). The ease of assembly favors the use of a ready, tuned FM head, convenience of operation - a digital frequency synthesis system.
