Wireless transmission of high-quality audio signals is difficult to implement, which until recently meant that only professionals could use it. The currently available Bluetooth modules with software audio service stacks (such as the A2DP profile) and specialized modules that create audio transmission paths have made wireless transmission of audio signals over short distances available to everyone.
