Flashlights with bulbs are slowly becoming a relic of the last century. They are replaced by devices equipped with semiconductor light sources. Modern LED diodes are many times more durable and more convenient to use.
We suggest making such a device. The flashlight uses a CREE XLamp diode. According to catalog data, it has luminations of 136 lm at 700mA. The only problem is how to power it. The diode, getting warmer, draws a higher and higher current - it causes a reduction of its lifespan and in extreme cases it may damage the structure. Therefore, the system uses a voltage converter with a current stabilizer. The microprocessor PIC12F683 is responsible for controlling the whole.

The device is especially recommended for tourists, scouts and "night brands"
