The project presents an example of an unusual modification and connection to the USB port of the joystick designed for the GamePort port. This last connector is virtually unparalleled in PCs - it has replaced the USB standard.
The system allows you to adapt the joystick to the existing standard. HID drivers are used for this, ready-made, existing in Win systems. The ATmega8 processor is used as the interpreter, the program was written in the home AVR Studio environment.

The device is especially recommended for PC game lovers

Selected parameters:

  • ATmega8 processor
  • cooperation of the keypad (with GamePort connector) with a USB socket
  • operation of buttons, position potentiometers X, Y and throttles
  • power from the USB port
  • power supply - 5Vdc (from USB port)
  • a printed circuit board, programmed layout and documentation in the set
