The Intel Edison Breakout Board Kit is a set consisting of a powerful Intel Edison computing platform and a dedicated microcomputer development board with Micro-USB ports type A and type B, enabling the output of GPIO ports and power connection from 7 to 15V. The Intel Edison platform is based on a dual-core Intel Atom processor made in the 22nm process and has embedded Bluetooth LE module, Wi-Fi. The development board included in the set allows for communication with the microcomputer via USB ports using the built-in UART-USB converter. There is a power switch on the board that allows you to turn off the device or to go into a low power state. 40 GPIO pins from the 70-pin connector were led out on the board, which allows connecting external modules to the microcomputer and communication via serial interfaces, among others I2C, UART, SPI.
