The OAK-D Short Range PoE with ToF sensor (OAK-D SR PoE) is an industrial-grade camera designed for precise depth detection at short and medium ranges (up to 3 meters). It is ideal for applications such as bin picking, pick-and-place machines, quality control, industrial automation, and robotic arms. The camera housing is rated IP65 or IP67 (depending on the production batch), allowing it to operate in harsh industrial environments.
The camera features a Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensor with sub-1% accuracy indoors and sub-2% outdoors, with a working range of 20 cm to 5 m. The OAK-D SR PoE uses the compact OAK-SoM-Pro module and RVC2 architecture, offering 4 TOPS of processing power, including 1.4 TOPS dedicated to AI tasks. It combines ToF technology with active IR stereo vision to ensure accurate depth measurements under various lighting conditions. It supports advanced computer vision (CV) and artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms, including 2D/3D object tracking, image processing (scaling, cropping, distortion correction), and video encoding in H.264, H.265, and MJPEG formats (up to 4K/30FPS).
The integrated active IR projector and LED illuminator enable operation in low or no-light environments. The camera includes industrial-grade M12 (PoE) and M8 (GPIO, USB2, control) connectors, a 1/4" tripod mount, 75 mm VESA mount, and a status LED. It is powered and connected via Power-over-Ethernet (PoE), enabling standalone operation thanks to onboard flash memory. The camera supports multiple network protocols, including TCP, UDP, HTTP, and MQTT, making it ideal for IoT and industrial robotics. Its compact and lightweight design simplifies integration, while the energy-efficient architecture helps reduce power consumption.
