Volume 2. It presents all welding methods and technologies (coated electrodes, MIG / MAG, TIG, submerged arc, plasma, electron, laser and others), welding (resistive, friction etc.) and soldering. Also described are related techniques: cutting methods (oxygen, plasma, laser), layer application and surface modification as well as gouging, gluing and other related methods. For each process the following were given: characteristics, scope of application, parameters, practical technological recommendations, variations, defects and a list of related documents.
Volume 2 deals with the following topics:
  • manual arc welding with coated electrodes,
  • MIG / MAG welding,
  • arc welding with wires with a powder core,
  • TIG welding, including A-TIG welding,
  • arc welding,
  • plasma welding,
  • electron and laser welding,
  • gas welding, arc and hydrogen welding, welding with a carbon electrode, electroslag welding, electrogas welding, termite welding,
  • resistive welding,
  • friction welding,
  • diffusion welding, welding with a rotating arc, welding with high frequency currents, ultrasonic welding, explosive welding, crumple welding and arc welding of metal pins,
  • soldering,
  • oxygen cutting, plasma cutting, laser cutting,
  • welding methods of applying layers: welding, thermal spraying, inductive welding, explosive plating, coating applying by resistive heating, friction grinding, termite deposition, arc welding with the use of pastes, qualification of padding and spraying technologies,
  • other processes related to welding: welding and welding of thermoplastic plastics, bonding of modern materials (ceramics, composites, alloys based on inter-crystalline phases) and bonding of materials.
