The device is a spectacular addition to any monitor. It enables illumination of its surroundings in a color depending on the currently displayed image. This reduces the contrast between the content and the presentation background.
The device consists of two functional parts. The first is the controller responsible for image analysis and related color backlight control. The second group of subassemblies are modules of LED illuminators. The device has 8 independent channels generating light in a color similar to 'resultant' light on the edges of the screen.

The device is particularly useful to all computer users

  • controller designed using the ATMega8 microcontroller
  • 9 modules of LED illuminators (three LEDs in each)
  • cooperation with Windows and Linux systems
  • connection to a computer via a USB port
  • power from an external power supply
  • power supply - 5Vdc
