The 'RS485' blocks are based on data exchange between the interfaces and the computer using the RS485 bus. Until recently, a popular and simple way was to use the RS232 serial interface for this. Unfortunately, more and more PCs are deprived of this port, but the USB interface is ubiquitous. And it is this standard that was used to control the 'brick' presented.
The device is especially recommended for use in RS485 bus systems, especially for cooperation with RS485 'blocks'
