Digital speech transmission is widely used today in GSM telephony. The phones use specialized integrated circuits called codecs. They contain in their structure an AC, CA converter and a digital interface enabling data transfer. This type of arrangement was used in the dsPICordera. The signal from the electret microphone is sent to the microphone amplifier and then filtered. The next step is converting to a digital form.
The recorder is equipped with an LCD display from the Nolia 3310 mobile phone. Operating the device is possible with a few buttons
