About the book

The book presents basic information about automatic control systems, which currently dominated not only production processes, organization and implementation of services, but also all kinds of devices used in private life. The current period can be called the era of computer control. Computers and programmable digital circuits are used both for simple devices and for extended control of large, often distributed systems.

The book is an academic textbook for various, especially mechanical, courses of technical studies, but it can also be used by people with a different specialty to independently master the subject of computer control basics.

The authors are associated with the Faculty of Production Engineering (formerly the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering) of the Warsaw University of Technology.
