In the February issue of EP we started 3D printing, which is starting to play an increasingly important role during the prototyping of devices. We present devices, we show what they can be useful for. The programming course of STM32F4 microcontrollers enjoys great interest among readers. In this issue of the magazine, in addition to the next part of the cycle, we also have a description of the set with such a microcontroller, which - as intended by the author - can be used to make a prototype of an SDR radio or an advanced audio signal processor. It is also worth reading about the latest solutions from Microchip and Texas Instruments. First, it promotes its inexpensive 8-bit processors. At the same time, it increases their attractiveness for designers by incorporating modern peripheral modules. The second one develops systems intended for use in IoT and wireless data transmission. In this EP edition, we describe CC1310 and CC2560.

The Marble Run Spiral Hoist is the fourth model in the Ugears collection of fascinating DIY wooden mechanical marble runs. The hoist has two types of rails to speed the ascent: the main spiral rails and vertical rails. Turn the crank to lift the colored glass marbles upwards (one marble rises per nine revolutions of the winding crank) to the three-marble storage up top. UGears 70177
