Description
Gravity: UART A6 GSM & GPRS Module is a board from DFRobot company with a built-in module supporting GSM / GPRS transmission technology. Unlike other DROBOT IoT modules, this module does not use WiFi for communication, and GSM transmission, which allows the module to be used also in places remote from the WiFi network. Communication with the module takes place via a UART interface with a voltage of 2.8 V, which makes the module compatible with Arduino , Raspberry Pi or any microcontroller. The module is powered by 5V voltage through the Gravity connector and does not require additional external power supply.
Attention!
The module for operation requires a mini-SIM card placed in the slot in the bottom of the board. To use micro-SIM or nano-SIM cards, use an adapter.
GSM technology enables sending SMS messages, making voice calls or data transmission within GPRS with the speed of 85.6 Kbps (download) and 42.8 Kbps (sending). The module is configured using AT commands.
