Description
The right Mecanum multi-directional wheel with a diameter of 80 mm, which consists of 9 rollers located around the circumference of the wheel. This design allows the robot to move not only forward and backward, but also sideways. To use the kinematics of the wheels, the robot must be equipped with 4 Mecanum wheels (two right and two left), which are mounted diagonally so that the rollers form an 'X' sign. The wheel hub fits motors with a shaft diameter of 5.4 mm, e.g. the popular TT motors. The use of Mecanum wheels in a mobile robot significantly increases its mobility and is an interesting alternative to standard drive systems.
