CM4 Sensing is an industrial computer designed for IoT and data acquisition applications, based on the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4 (CM4). The device’s design maximizes the flexibility of the CM4, effectively addressing heat dissipation for the processor, wireless module, and power management unit (PMU). The use of an external antenna significantly improves wireless communication reliability. The system can be configured with 2GB of RAM and 8GB of eMMC storage. It supports Wi-Fi 2.4/5.8GHz and Bluetooth with an external antenna option and also 4G LTE communication. For scenarios requiring extensive data storage, users can install the operating system and applications on the eMMC while using an SD card for storing large datasets, offering both higher capacity and cost efficiency.

CM4 Sensing features four RS485 channels, one RS232 channel, one CAN channel, one Gigabit Ethernet channel, a buzzer, and a battery-powered real-time clock (RTC). The DSI interface is fully compatible with the Raspberry Pi 4 Model B, supporting the 7-inch Raspberry Pi touch display. An HDMI port enables 4K HD video output. The 5V/1.5A power output provides power for a Pi Display. The device includes two USB 2.0 ports and one Micro USB 2.0 port for system updates. It supports a wide input voltage range of 8V to 28V DC. Enclosed in an industrial-grade casing, the system employs a large heatsink for efficient cooling of the processor, wireless module, and PMU, ensuring reliable operation in temperatures from -25°C to 60°C. The casing includes four M2.5 mounting holes for easy installation on other devices or DIN rail mounting. The device is CE and FCC certified.
