Great Scott Gadgets HackRF One Bare Board supports radio signal reception and transmission across a frequency range of 1 MHz to 6 GHz. The device uses Software Defined Radio (SDR) technology, allowing radio functions to be implemented through software. It operates in half-duplex mode, switching between reception and transmission. Applications include radio spectrum analysis, wireless protocol research, communication system testing, and radio technology development.
The device supports sampling rates up to 20 MS/s and 8-bit quadrature I/Q samples, comprising an 8-bit I component and an 8-bit Q component. Software control enables adjustment of receiver and transmitter gain and configuration of the baseband filter. HackRF One is compatible with GNU Radio, SDR#, and other SDR applications for recording, processing, and generating radio signals.
A USB 2.0 Hi-Speed interface provides communication with a computer and supplies power to the device. The board features a female SMA antenna connector and female SMA clock input and output connectors for synchronization with external equipment. The antenna port supports software-controlled 3.3 V power output with a maximum current of 50 mA. Onboard buttons facilitate programming, while internal expansion headers provide connections for additional circuitry.
The Bare Board version is supplied without a plastic enclosure, providing direct access to the PCB and its connectors. The device can operate as a USB peripheral or be programmed for standalone operation. The hardware design and software are available as open-source projects. The manufacturer provides HackRF technical documentation and a repository containing source code and hardware design files. A USB cable is included. An antenna is not included.
