Description
J-Link DSK is a toolkit designed for users who want to add support for new devices to the J-Link software. By default, SEGGER regularly updates its software to include support for new chips, but some may be omitted. With J-Link DSK, users can fill in these gaps by creating their own support files. The package includes a high-performance flash loader that enables flash memory programming via the microcontroller's debugging interface. The flash loader is device-specific code temporarily loaded into RAM, responsible for writing to flash memory. Once support for a new device is added, users can utilize the J-Link flash download feature across all J-Link tools, including J-Link Commander and J-Flash.
The package also includes sample J-Link scripts that allow handling devices requiring custom connection and reset procedures. Additionally, J-Link DSK features an installer template, enabling easy distribution of support files for new devices. This makes it convenient for semiconductor manufacturers and project managers to share support files with end users. Every J-Link DSK purchaser also receives 6 months of technical support and software updates.
