Description

The 5-DSI-TOUCH-B-WITH-CASE model includes a 5″ 720 × 1280 px IPS display and a dedicated black protective enclosure. The design is prepared for operation with Raspberry Pi 5 via the MIPI-DSI interface. The screen operates in portrait orientation by default with a resolution of 720 × 1280 px (H×V), with the option to switch to landscape mode through software configuration.

The IPS panel provides a wide 178° viewing angle and stable color reproduction. The capacitive touch panel supports up to 5 simultaneous touch points (depending on the operating system), while the toughened glass surface with hardness up to 6H increases scratch resistance. Optical bonding technology improves image clarity, reduces reflections, and limits dust ingress between display layers.

Image communication is handled via the DSI interface, while the touch panel uses the I2C bus. Backlight adjustment is available via software control. The enclosed construction enables direct mounting with Raspberry Pi 5, ensuring stable mechanical assembly and protection of the display module.

The display in the enclosure operates with Raspberry Pi 5 (Raspberry Pi OS, 5-point touch). Power is supplied through the 5 V GPIO line according to the manufacturer’s documentation.
