Description
The Crowtail Touch Sensor 2.0 is designed for detecting human touch based on changes in electrical capacitance. The module uses the TTP223-B touch controller, which allows finger detection at a distance from 0 to 3 mm, even through non-metallic materials such as glass, paper, or thin plastic.
The ability to mount the sensor beneath an enclosure surface enables the creation of touch interfaces for applications requiring increased moisture resistance or concealed control buttons. This solution is suitable for touch panels, consumer devices, control systems, and educational projects.
The panel-mount–ready design provides a smooth touch surface, simplifying integration with enclosures and structural elements of electronic devices. The Crowtail connector in Type D connection mode allows fast, solder-free connection to Crowtail base boards.
