Description

Module with 12-channel MPR121 capacitive touch sensor. The system combines two functions: capacitance measurement and touch detection. The constant current capacitance detection function measures capacitances from 10 pF to over 2000 pF with a resolution down to 0.01 pF. Once the electrode capacitance data is collected, the sensor determines the touch or release state of the electrode by comparing it to a capacitance baseline value. The module has 12 completely independent electrodes with built-in auto-configuration and an interrupt generating output. For each of the channels, the user can connect a touch probe, e.g. using cables with alligator clips, and create a touch keyboard. The board is equipped with a Stemma QT/Qwiic connector and communicates via the I2C interface. It is powered by 3.3 V or 5 V. Full documentation of the module with examples of use is available on the product page.
