A multifunctional module with an optical sensor for measuring the intensity of illumination, the color of the incident RGB light, the distance from the object and the detection of 3D gestures with a detection range from 10 to 20 cm. The APDS9960 chip has built-in UV and IR filters and four LEDs set to receive information from different directions. The module is powered with the voltage from 3.3 V to 5 V, and communication is via the I2C interface (STEMMA QT connector). Full documentation is available on the product page.
