Description

TTL to RS422 converter with galvanic isolation. It provides communication between TTL UART interface and industrial bus with RS422 differential signal in Full Duplex mode. It is compatible with 3.3V and 5V systems. The converter has numerous built-in protections in the form of power supply isolation and TVS diodes, which ensures stable voltage and effectively suppresses circuit overvoltage. A resettable fuse and diodes, meanwhile, provide overcurrent and overvoltage protection. The module is mounted on an industrial DIN rail, ensuring compatibility with existing designs.

The device can perform both the function of converting a TTL signal into a differential RS422 signal for bidirectional communication, as well as extending the bus with additional communication nodes (up to 256 nodes can be connected). Besides, it allows extending the transmission range from about 10 m for an ordinary TTL signal to up to 1.2 km for a differential RS422 signal.

The converter can be widely used for cascaded communication between two hosts and between a host and an MCU or peripheral. It will find application in applications that require TTL to RS422 conversion, such as industrial automation and IoT. Full documentation is available on the product page.
