Description

The Waveshare RGB-27-5V-160D-5M programmable COB RGB LED strip measures 5 m in length and uses Chip On Board (COB) technology to provide uniform light diffusion across the entire illuminated surface. A density of 160 LEDs per meter, totaling 800 LEDs, and a 180° beam angle produce a continuous line of light without clearly visible individual light points. The strip operates at 5 V, with a maximum power consumption of approximately 12 W/m, equivalent to 60 W for the entire length. Its 2.7 mm width allows installation in narrow profiles, furniture gaps, display cabinets, and computer cases.

WS2812B-compatible control chips enable programming of colors and lighting effects through a single-wire data interface. Each segment supports three RGB channels with 256 brightness levels per channel, allowing smooth color transitions and animations. According to the manufacturer's documentation, each meter of the strip contains 12 independently controlled segments measuring approximately 83.3 mm each, providing a total of 60 segments along the 5 m strip. Control requires an external controller generating a signal compatible with the WS2812B protocol.
