The Raspberry Pi XLR Board is designed for users who want to work with audio devices equipped with 3-pin XLR connectors. The board features a pair of balanced XLR connectors that directly connect to the corresponding pins on the expansion interface of Raspberry Pi models from the B, B+, A, A+, and Zero series.
The Raspberry Pi DAC PRO converter provides a 6-pin connector utilized by the XLR Board to deliver a balanced output available through the XLR sockets. These ports are commonly used in professional studios and some high-end Hi-Fi systems. They can also power active monitor speakers, such as those used on stage.
