Mini computer with an RP2350B microcontroller - Adafruit Fruit Jam integrates components required to build compact, standalone computer systems and embedded applications. The RP2350B microcontroller uses two Arm Cortex-M33 cores operating at up to 150 MHz, while 16 MB of Flash memory and 8 MB of PSRAM are available for applications. The DVI output implemented through the HSTX interface allows a monitor to be connected, while two USB Type-A Host ports support input devices such as a keyboard, mouse or game controllers.
The board features an ESP32-C6 providing WiFi connectivity and a microSD card slot supporting SPI or SDIO. Audio is handled by the TLV320DAC3100, which works with a stereo headphone output and a mono speaker. The USB Type-C port is used for firmware uploading and USB communication. STEMMA QT I2C and STEMMA 3-pin connectors, a PicoProbe debug port and a 16-pin connector providing 10 analog/digital GPIO lines and 5 V, 3 V and GND power lines are also available.
Fruit Jam has dimensions similar to a standard credit card and can operate as a compact computing platform for learning programming, developing applications with display interfaces, retrocomputing projects and systems using USB devices, video and audio. The board includes five NeoPixels, three tactile switches and a main power switch. Support for CircuitPython, Arduino and Pico SDK allows the platform to be used in educational projects as well as for prototyping custom devices.
