About the book

The monograph presents a new approach to the finite element method - finite elements are considered comprehensively, and the task of electromagnetic field analysis comes down to the task of analyzing equivalent electrical and magnetic circuits. It presents equations describing the electromagnetic field in systems with conductivity and dielectric displacement, basic methods of solving equations describing electromagnetic field, expressions describing the energy function for systems with an electromagnetic field described by means of scalar and vector potentials, interpolation functions of a finite element considered as a node element, edge, wall and volume, expressions describing derivatives of the energy function relative to the edge and wall values for the element. The interpolation functions for the tetrahedral, six-sided and penthedral elements are described in detail. Circuit models of systems with connected finite elements are also discussed and coupled models are described.
