ZL2USB - UART-USB converter with FTDI FT232BM system

The ZL2USB module is a convenient interface for the exchange of data between a PC equipped with USB and any digital system equipped with UART. The module uses the FTDI FT232BM system.

Thanks to drivers including for Windows systems that emulate the computer's serial port, PC software can be easily written using the API. It is also possible to easily extend the devices previously used for transmission of the RS232 serial link.

• USB-B socket,
• I / O lines adapted to work with 3.3 and 5 V voltage systems,

• receive buffer (Rx) 384 B; sending buffer (Tx) 128 B,
• support for 7/8 data bits, 1/2 stop bits, parity mark or none,
• two-way, asynchronous data transmission,
• compliance with UHCI / OHCI / EHCI,
• cooperation with USB 1.1 and USB 2.0 interfaces (in Full Speed mode - 12 Mbd),
• the ability to specify and store USB VID, PID and serial number of the product in the EEPROM memory,
• the possibility of cooperation with systems with RS485,
• free drivers for Windows 98 / 98SE / Me / 2000 / XP / CE as well as MAC-OS and Linux,
• possibility of powering from USB or external power supply,
• 5 V / 30 mA external power supply (max.),
• built-in 3.3 V / 5 mA stabilizer.
