The assumption of the authors of the IEC 61131-3 standard was to standardize and normalize the ways of preparing programs for PLC controllers and to create control and control systems based on standardized functions, data types and predefined software models. On the basis of this standard, more and more modern automation systems are created, whose standardization increases the certainty of their operation, simplifies documenting and creating higher-level libraries, speeds up programming, and simplifies the transfer of programs between systems from different manufacturers.
The book presents the basics of the IEC 61131-3 standard based on practical exemplary programs illustrating solutions to many problems faced by modern automation in real industrial applications.
