USB 2.0 UVC camera with a 2 MP Sony STARVIS 2 sensor, supporting day/night operation with automatic switching, equipped with 850 nm IR LEDs and a metal enclosure, designed for use with Windows and Linux systems.
The ArduCam B0590 camera is used in vision systems requiring continuous operation under varying lighting conditions, both in daylight and at night. The integrated Sony STARVIS 2 sensor with enhanced sensitivity enables color image capture during the day and infrared imaging after dark, with automatic switching of the operating mode.
The optical system works in conjunction with eight built-in IR LEDs with a wavelength of 850 nm, providing scene illumination in conditions of limited or zero visible light. The fixed-focus wide-angle lens allows observation of a broad area without the need to deploy multiple cameras.
The camera communicates via a USB 2.0 interface and operates in the UVC standard, enabling direct connection to Windows and Linux systems without installing additional drivers. Support for reduced-resolution YUV video streams allows use in machine vision applications and edge AI systems.
The metal enclosure provides mechanical protection for industrial, outdoor, and monitoring system applications.
