Description

Camera Arducam B006701 uses a 2 MP OV2640 image sensor. Sensor configuration is handled through the I²C interface, while camera control commands and image data are transferred through SPI. The use of separate interfaces allows the module to operate with microcontrollers that do not provide a parallel camera interface. The module supports hardware JPEG compression, single-frame capture, burst capture, and repeated reading of a stored frame.

The integrated frame buffer stores image data before it is read by the host controller, so data transfer does not have to match the sensor output speed directly. The camera is compatible with Arduino UNO, Raspberry Pi Pico, and other boards equipped with SPI and I²C. Input and output lines support 3.3 V and 5 V logic levels, simplifying integration with different development platforms. The module can be used in basic vision systems, image recorders, mobile robots, and projects requiring image capture with a microcontroller.
