Base board designed for Raspberry Pi CM4 modules. It is equipped with special connectors for connecting the module and pinouts for the CM4 module's basic interfaces, including USB, CSI, USART, SPI and I2C. The Ochin Tiny Carrier Board is not equipped with a microSD card slot, so it can only work with modules with eMMC memory. Full documentation is available on the product page.
The expansion module has a compact design (the same size as the CM4 module), making it suitable for undersized robot projects. It has a built-in DC-DC converter with a capacity of 7 A and can be powered directly from a LiPo battery with a voltage of 7 to 28 V. The USB power circuit is further protected by a current switch on the USB VBUS line, which causes the voltage on the USB to be cut off if the current drawn reaches a threshold of 3 A.
The board is compatible with all Raspberry Pi CM4 modules equipped with eMMC. It has also been tested to work with the OpenHD software, which allows HD video streaming from a mobile station (rover, drone, aircraft, etc.) to a ground station. It is designed for a wide range of applications such as robotics, home automation and IoT projects.
