Description

The Waveshare 32580 is a base board designed for use with the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 5, intended for networking, industrial, and edge computing applications. The design provides two independent Ethernet interfaces, enabling routing, network separation, connection redundancy, or the creation of communication gateways.

                                               

The board is equipped with an M.2 socket that allows connection of 4G or 5G cellular modems, enabling the system to use mobile connectivity as a primary or backup data transmission channel. This solution is used in IoT systems, monitoring, industrial automation, and applications requiring constant network access regardless of wired infrastructure availability.

The design exposes the peripheral interfaces of the Compute Module 5, including USB, UART, SPI, I2C, and GPIO, allowing system expansion with additional devices and modules. Connector placement and mounting holes are adapted for integration into enclosures and end devices.
