Description

CM4-NAS-Double-Deck-C4A is a kit for building a NAS server based on the Raspberry Pi CM4 module. Easy access to computer interfaces, including two USB 2.0 ports, RJ45 Gigabit Ethernet port, and HDMI and microSD cards. It uses a base board dedicated to Compute Module 4, which forms the basis of the minicomputer. On it, the user will find connectors for the DSI display, a voltage backup battery slot, a camera port, a fan connector and a 40-pin GPIO connector. An additional module with a 2" LCD display has two connectors to connect 2.5" SATA drives, which are the most important part of the device.

The kit includes the CM4104008 module with a quad-core SoC the same as in the Raspberry Pi 4 (Broadcom BCM2711, Cortex-A72 core) running at 1.5 GHz, with RAM from 1 GB to 8 GB and Broadcom VideoCore VI graphics chip. The module, depending on the version, can be equipped with eMMC memory from 8 GB to 32 GB, and a built-in WiFi network card (IEEE 802.11b/g/n/ac 2.4/5 GHz) with Bluetooth 5.0/BLE.

The included case gives access to the basic ports of the minicomputer. It is equipped with power and user buttons. The main function of this equipment is data storage. Gathering all the photos, videos, music and games, it creates a multimedia library enclosed in a small NAS drive enclosure.

The chassis has a built-in 2" LCD display controlled by an SPI interface. It is used for real-time monitoring of the CM4's operating status, including CPU parameters, RAM, system disk usage, network speed and operating temperature.
