The infrared distance sensor enables the detection of objects in the range from 3 to 50 cm. The sensor has a digital output (Gravity connector), and a low state is generated when an object is detected. The threshold at which the sensor detects an obstacle is adjusted with a potentiometer. It is powered with the voltage of 5 V and has an output with a capacity of up to 100 mA, thanks to which it can directly control small actuators. It can be used as an obstacle sensor in mobile robots and on assembly lines. The Wiki page contains the manual and sample programs.
