Description

ItsyBitsy ESP32 is an extremely compact yet highly capable development board featuring the ESP32-PICO-MINI-02 module, equipped with 8 MB Flash memory and 2 MB PSRAM. The board is powered by a dual-core Tensilica Xtensa microcontroller running up to 240 MHz, providing high computational performance while maintaining low power consumption. The module offers 2.4 GHz WiFi as well as Bluetooth Classic and BLE, making it ideal for IoT projects. Thanks to 40 nm technology, the chip features very low energy consumption – in deep sleep mode, the current draw is approximately 10 µA.

The board includes a built-in USB–UART converter and a USB Micro B port for programming and debugging. Note that the ESP32 does not have native USB support – communication is handled via the USB–Serial converter. ItsyBitsy offers 20 GPIO pins, including 12-bit analog inputs, PWM outputs, DAC, and hardware interfaces SPI, I2C, I2S, and UART. The onboard RGB NeoPixel LED with power control allows creating lighting effects with minimal energy consumption. An additional red LED on pin D13 facilitates diagnostics. The STEMMA QT (I2C) connector allows quick connection of sensors and modules without soldering. The board can be powered via USB or an external battery (up to 6 V) with protection. Compatibility with Arduino IDE, CircuitPython, and MicroPython makes it a versatile tool for both beginners and advanced users.
