Sometimes, when building electronic circuits, a universal source of digital waveforms is needed. The generator is also useful when locating faults and repairs. The device described is a simple adapter for a PC. In a small housing of the DB9 connector, a handful of elements was closed, which together with four computer programs creates two devices in one, ie a frequency meter and a generator. The assembly can be taken by everyone and it will take no more than a few dozen minutes. The software is free and can be downloaded from PPEdW, from the Downoload department (M07). The adapter works with both COM 1 and COM 2 ports.
