The board is equipped with the SARA-R510M8S u-blox module, which offers Secure Cloud LTE-M and NB-IoT communication, providing a 5G-enabled wireless IoT device. It also has an integrated u-blox M8 GNSS receiver for accurate position information. SARA-R5 supports many different forms of data communication, from TCP/IP, through HTTP, FTP, Ping and SMS messages, and has a built-in nano SIM card slot. The SARA-R5 UART interface can be configured in one of five variants, providing connectivity through one or two UART interfaces. A separate USB port provides access to the SARA trace log for diagnostic purposes. This division provides access to all three interfaces (UART1, UART2 and SARA Diag) via three separate USB type C connections. Antennas are connected to the board via the SMA connector, and the module configuration is done using the m-center software. Full documentation with the guide is available on the product page.
