Ultrasonic distance sensor with a range from 3 to 350 cm. It measures the distance from an obstacle using the sonar principle - measuring the time between the transmission and the return of an ultrasonic wave. The module offers high measurement accuracy and stable reading, and sunlight and the black color of the object do not affect the sensor's operation. The board is equipped with a Grove connector, so it can be used with the Base Shield V2 and Arduino extension. The module communicates via a digital interface and is supplied with the voltage of 3.3 V or 5 V. Full documentation of the module with examples of use is available on the product page.
Compared to the popular HC-SR04 sensor, the Grove Ultrasonic Distance Sensor is compatible with both 3.3V and 5V systems, making it suitable for use with most evaluation kits. In addition, the Grove module has a pin connected to the transmitter and receiver, which allows you to limit the number of pins needed to operate the sensor.
