The SX1262-LoRa-DTU is a LoRa wireless communication module dedicated to long-distance data transfer. It operates in the 433 MHz frequency band and is equipped with RS232, RS485 and RS422 industrial interfaces. It is based on the SX1262 module. and uses LoRa Modulate and Demodulate technology with anti-interference function and long-distance communication capability up to 5 km.
Compared to traditional communications, LoRa's Chirp Spread Spectrum (CSS) and Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FHSS) technologies significantly improve the performance of long-range and anti-interference communications, widely used in military and industrial communication fields. The module provides multiple communication methods configurable via software. It can operate in streaming or packet, point-to-point or multipoint-to-point modes. The module can realize a multi-level relay network, suitable for very long-range communications or complex environments.
The module can be operated using AT commands, which allow the user to send a query about the current status of the module or set operating parameters. The stability and security of communication is ensured by AES encryption. The module actively monitors ambient noise before sending. If it exceeds a threshold, sending will be delayed. This feature can improve communication performance in harsh environments. In addition, it supports RSSI, the signal strength output of a data packet, which can be used to evaluate signal quality and measure distance.
The device is enclosed in an aluminum housing with a plastic bracket for mounting on an industrial DIN rail. It has been equipped with numerous protections, including a TVS diode that can effectively suppress surges. It has built-in ESD protection as well as a fuse and a circuit that ensures stable current and voltage output.
