Kitronik Air Quality and Environmental Control HAT is an advanced expansion board for Raspberry Pi, enabling monitoring, logging, and responding to environmental data. With this HAT, Raspberry Pi becomes a complete measurement hub for real-time data analysis and visualization. The board is equipped with a BME688 sensor, which measures temperature, pressure, humidity, air quality index, and eCO2 levels. Data can be displayed on the built-in 128x64 OLED screen and indicated via 3 ZIP LEDs and a piezo buzzer. The device is fully Raspberry Pi HAT compatible and works with all models featuring a 40-pin GPIO header (Pi 2, 3, 4, 5, Zero, Zero 2).
Power is supplied directly from the GPIO header (5V or 3.3V depending on the section requirements). Additionally, the board provides high-power outputs (up to 1A), a servo output, and three RP2040 ADC analog inputs, making it highly versatile for various applications. Extra sensors, servos, motors, or heating elements can be connected to expand system functionality. Thanks to the RP2040 RTC and Pi memory, the HAT is perfect for environmental data logging. Combined with the PyPi library and sample projects available on GitHub, getting started is quick and easy. Installation is done with a single command:
